Comic Character Development

I have four main characters in my comic:

Death, Rick Holt, Anna Keres, and Akahachi (Hachi for short) Goryō.

Each chapter will follow an individual character for the first few chapters, once things unfold the individual character chapters unrelated to each other will start to make sense.

Since this comic is an adult supernatural horror-noir theme, I wanted to give the names some meaning to each character.

In the first chapter we meet Anna Keres.

Anna Keres (AKA Honey)
The first name Anna means 'grace' and Keres  is a Greek mythological character, they were female spirits that died a violent or cruel death. She is going to be of greek descent.

Death.
We don't know her real name, she doesn't speak but instead communicates mentally through images. Background unknown. But the other characters really like her and feel protective towards her.

Rick Holt.
He is a bit of a wild card character. He has a real need for vengeance, and his looks are meant to be reminiscent of my late uncles' appearance- not jack Nicholson which he also looks like for some reason.  He is not well liked by others and is the leader of the 'group'
Rick is short for Richard which means powerful, strong ruler. And the nickname for Rick is Dick, which is fitting considering he is not well liked. He's of Irish descent

Akahachi (Hachi) Goryō

He is a young kickboxer, his family run a Kickboxing rink, he's of Japanese descent. He is really kind but hotheaded.
His last name Goryō is actually a Japanese myth of aristocratic martyred ghosts, which is going to fit well with his storyline.
